Marlborough/Kenepuru Sound 2014

We left our home a day before our flight to Los Angeles due to an approaching storm.  We spent the night at G's brother's home.  We headed to Logan in the snow.  We enjoyed watching the great snow removal crews on the runway.  We were very fortunate to get out just 2 hours before the airport closed, canceling all flights.

We had a nice visit with family in California before heading to Auckland with a connecting flight to Nelson.

We spent 2 nights in a Nelson B&B before heading to Kenepuru Sound in Marlborough Sounds.  We returned to a home that we rented in 2011 called Jelly Mold.  We purchased a 5 day pass to walk the Queen Charlotte Walkway.

Fantails follow you along the trails all over New Zealand hoping for a meal of bugs that you stir up off the forest floor as you walk along.
